At Stone Ridge Animal Care on Evansville’s north side, our veterinarians have decades of training and experience delivering high quality, compassionate veterinary care for our patients. Our focus is caring for dogs, cats, and other small animals as well as small farm animals. These Evansville IN veterinarians are passionate about practicing veterinary medicine and understand that pets are members of your family and care for them accordingly.

Dr. RH Stone III, D.V.M., Owner

Dr. Stone graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. After a year of practice with Dr. Don Cates and Dr. Bryan Helms at St. Joe Vet Clinic he returned to practice with his father Dr. Raymond Stone Jr. in Sturgis KY.

In 1999 he relocated to the North side of Evansville IN. There, he and his wife Linda Stone established Stone Ridge Equine Care, LLC. Dr. Stone has two daughters Dr. Lauren Stone, a local dentist, and Kailyn Stone, a student at Southern Illinois University. 

Dr Bryan Helms Evnasville In Small Animal Veterinarian


A graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. Dr. Helms enjoys a mixed practice of all types of animals, including beef, dairy, sheep, and goats. Utilizing more than 33 years of experience in the tri-state area he offers extensive knowledge in small animal medicine and surgery as well. He and his wife Susan Helms have two daughters, Laura and Amanda. He is also a grandpa to two lovely granddaughters. 

Dr Cate Osterman Evnasville In Small Animal Veterinarian


Dr. Cate (Fritchley) Osterman joined Stone Ridge Animal Care in 2018 after graduating from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Born and raised on Evansville’s north side, Dr. Cate brings an assortment of small and large animal experience. She was an active 10 year 4-H member and is still involved in 4-H today. Alongside her husband, Drew, they have 2 greyhounds named Tater and Nora.

Linda graduated in 1983 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She met Dr. Stone while employed at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine as a Large Animal reproductive and embryo transfer tech. Linda returned to school to obtain her RN license in 1992 and worked in that field for several years, until relocating her family to Evansville IN to establish Stone Ridge Equine Care, LLC.

Her biggest thrill has been serving as horse show mom for daughter Lauren, now a local Dentist and a soccer mom for daughter Kailyn a student at Southern Illinois University. 


Becky graduated with honors from the Veterinary Technology program through Harrison College in 2012 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician after taking her licensing exam. She joined a mixed animal practice where she gained valuable clinical knowledge and sharpened her technical skills.

She has been with Stone Ridge Animal Care since 2017 and brought with her a passion for patient care and problem solving. Becky, her husband, Andy, their two German Shorthaired Pointers and two cats live in Owensville, IN. She loves to craft and read in her free time. 




Theresa has worked with animals for over 9 years from exotics, rabbits and ferrets in high school to joining Stone Ridge Equine Care and working with horses. She graduated from Harrison College in 2018 and transferred from the equine clinic to Stone Ridge Animal Care. She has a passion for all animals, her favorite thing is performing dental cleanings and taking dental radiographs.

She is newly married to her husband Jared, together they have 3 horses, 4 cats and Remi a black Lab. She can’t wait to meet your furry friends no matter the species.  



Allison has been with Stone Ridge Animal Care since 2019 and enjoys working with the staff, patients and clients. She has  previous experience with animals from being a care taker at a small animal hospital and also volunteers with a local non profit dog rescue in Posey County, IN. Working as a veterinary assistant helps her pursue her passion for animal health care, behavior and training. 

Allison is happily married with a young daughter, two dogs: Elmer Fudd and Buffy and a mini horse: Doc Holliday. She is a prior service member with the Army and was a Military Police Soldier. In her spare time Allison enjoys working with her dogs and spending time outside. 



Rebecca recently joined the Stone Ridge Animal Care team but has been working in veterinary medicine for over 10 years. She started working in the kennels as a veterinary assistant in high school. She graduated from Vincennes University with a degree in Business Management and has a Certificate of Veterinary Practice Management from Purdue University.

In her free time, Rebecca loves to watch movies, read and go hiking with her dogs. Rebecca is an avid cat lover and enjoys reading and studying cat behavior and husbandry. She is a Vincennes native where she currently resides with her five cats, Ned, Nora, Teagan, Hoppy, and Neko, and two dogs, Nitschke and Hutson.
